Join us for Impact 2020 – a unique and engaging virtual program designed to help middle school and high school students develop the skills necessary to pursue a passion, tackle a community need, and form a network with other young leaders from across the country.
The National Network of Schools in Partnership (NNSP) and Close Up Foundation have partnered to offer Impact 2020, a program designed to help young people connect to the world around them, develop their sense of purpose, and empower them to make a local impact on global issues. Led by Close Up Instructors, Impact 2020 has two program options – Introduction to Community Engagement and Task Force for Community Engagement.
This three-day foundational program is a great introduction for students who are eager to learn how they can become active and involved members in their communities. Over the course of three sessions, students will participate in a variety of activities to explore their sense of purpose, develop leadership skills, and think critically about social and political issues that matter most to them. A similar model is available for schools who would like to customize this program for a particular class, grade level, or district-wide project. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Individual Student Cost: $175
Member Rate: $150 per student for NNSP members and Close Up Schools (minimum of 3 students required).
Building on the foundations course, this program gives students the opportunity to work in teams and apply their skills and passion to address a pressing local or national issue. Students will identify issues that are important to them, explore root causes, develop action plans, and build a coalition of young leaders committed to tackling a problem. If you are interested in tailoring this program for a course or grade level, please contact us at email@example.com to explore customized options and pricing.
Individual Student Cost: $475
Member Rate: $400 per student for NNSP members and Close Up Schools (minimum of 3 students required).
