As a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization with bipartisan support in Congress and the White House, Close Up has longstanding relationships on both sides of the aisle, helping us connect students and teachers to the elected officials who represent them. In a typical year, we facilitate over 1,200 congressional meetings for participants in our Washington programs. Our network extends to the halls of state and local government as well, as we engage students with government experts and stakeholders across the country.
As a testament to our impact, we are proud to have Close Up student and teacher alumni serving in the 119th Congress and in statehouses nationwide.
