Maura O’Brien is the director of communications at Close Up, having been with the Foundation since 2011. In this role, she oversees internal and external communications and is the chief author and editor of Close Up’s Current Issues resources. Before joining Close Up, Maura was senior editor of The Hotline, Washington’s beloved daily digest of campaign and election news; editor of Wake-Up Call! and Last Call!; and a contributing writer for National Journal.
