APAICS Youth Leadership Academy

Focusing on issues affecting Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities

This summer, Close Up and the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS) are teaming up for the APAICS Youth Leadership Academy in Washington, DC. This week-long program is designed to provide high school students of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander heritage with leadership development, real-world citizenship skills, and opportunities to explore our nation’s capital and learn more about the issues and institutions affecting their communities.

The APAICS Youth Leadership Academy promises to be a life-changing week for students as they discuss public policy, participate in workshops and simulations, and build the skills and confidence they need to be leaders of the future.
