Experts in Civic Education

Close Up is an active member of the civic education community, sharing our expertise and drawing on that of our academic partners to enhance civic learning. The need for this work is as great as ever, with the National Assessment of Educational Progress revealing that fewer than one quarter of U.S. high school seniors are “proficient” in civics, with over a third scoring below a “basic” level.

But together with our academic partners, Close Up knows what it takes to deliver effective civic education. We are proud to work with other renowned educational institutions with unique insights on historical and current issues to provide one-of-a-kind opportunities and resources to students and educators.
