PGCPS Congressional Simulation Program Registration

In partnership with Prince George’s County Public Schools, the Close Up Foundation will be holding a Congressional Simulation Day for PGCPS high school students who participated in the virtual Congressional Simulation series over the course of the Fall 2024 semester. Held at the University of Maryland campus, the Congressional Simulation Day will give high school students the opportunity to engage with peers across the county on pressing current issues. Students will take on the role of members of the House of Representatives to deliberate real-world legislation, review and amend bills, offer arguments in favor and opposition to each bill, and vote ‘Yea’ or ‘Nay’ on each becoming law.
