Johnson & Johnson Scholars Program

In partnership with the Close Up Foundation, Johnson & Johnson is offering scholarships to 21 students—one from each of Massachusetts and New Jersey’s congressional districts—to participate in the Close Up Washington Program. This experience will bring students to Washington, D.C., for six days and five nights, where they will explore the nation’s capital, engage in discussions with peers from across the country, and participate in a Mock Congress to debate key issues facing the nation. Now in its third year, this partnership provides students with an opportunity to deepen their interest in government, public policy, and healthcare, while fostering leadership, critical thinking, and active citizenship.

Program Highlights:

  • Engage with students from across the country to discuss current policy issues.
  • Gain insights from experts and policymakers.
  • Meet with Johnson & Johnson’s federal affairs team to learn more about their work.
  • Visit Capitol Hill to meet with members of Congress or their staff.
  • Explore famous monuments, memorials, museums, and hallowed institutions that define our history.
